We approached UK Jerseys in 2010, offering to produce a self
financing breed magazine that serviced the membership and
promoted the breed.
Over five successful annual issues of The Jersey Year magazine we;
• Sold commercial and breeder adverts, the revenue from
which covered the costs of design, printing and postage.
• Designed the majority of the adverts sold at no extra cost to the advertiser.
• Worked closely with the Society deciding on the content of
each issue, before travelling around the UK to write herd
features and articles.
• Collated and laid out all editorial, including sourcing and taking photographs included in the publication.
• Covered proofing with our own in house team.
... then as things evolve!
Following on from the Jersey Year the UK Jersey board enlisted
our services to produce a new membership publication. Issued
three times a year and now with eight years under our belt The UKJT (Jersey Times) provides members
with up to date information and includes current and relevant
articles.
Working closely with the UK Jerseys marketing committee on which
we both sit, we are now in our third year of the UKJT and continue to produce the publication in its entirety.
