The founder and owner of the company, Sarah Liddle, is from near Bedale in North Yorkshire, England.
The business is nearly two years old and time has flown. It's really time to thank all those that have made it possible, both friends and family have been very supportive and I have been able to recruit assistance from many people over that time to provide the full range of services on offer.
Sarah Jarvis, a farmers daughters with a keen interest and understanding of the industry has joined the business full time and any callers may get her or myself on the end of the phone. Whoever answers we assure you of a warm welcome and an aim to help and assist with first class service whatever your request.
Sarah Liddle has spent many years very heavily involved in agriculture especially the dairy sector. She completed a BSC Hons in Agriculture at Newcastle in the mid 1990’s and grew up with the award winning Dalesend herd of pedigree Holsteins. Sarah has spent many years showing, preparing and working with this and other well known herds in the North East as well as traveling and working in Canada, and is currently North Eastern Holstein Club Chairman, after previously being it’s secretary, she has also been involved in YFC and with the Wensleydale Show . In more recent times she has been employed by Semen World and Semex (for nearly 8 years), while her most recent position was with Holstein UK, the Holstein Breed Society, where she sourced and wrote editorial as well as selling, and designing advertising. All of this has given her a wealth of experience and understanding of farmers needs.
With this in mind, The Farm Organisation offers to help farmers, organisations and agricultural businesses organise events and services. Many groups are now in the position where they have cut staff to a minimum and contract out business- The Farm Organisation can organise whole events from cattle selection, preparation, catering, advertising, and press coverage, from one simple phone call- whether it be for a sale, open day or judging night as well as any one off components of this. Top breeders may also want to capitalise on marketing their stock and genetics with herd brochures, leaflets and web sites, designed and prepared by a professional that understands the industry and market.
It appears that any sort of challenge will be considered by this hard working enthusiast who has this to say “I am fortunate to have the opportunity to establish The Farm Organisation, which has come about by the tremendous contacts I have made over the years; many people have given me the opportunity to work for them in the past giving me invaluable experience. I feel the industry needs someone to take some of the pressure off, while giving farmers and businesses the chance to capitalise on what they have to market- what makes the Farm Organisation unique is that it’s a One Stop Shop- it covers so many facets and is run by someone who knows and appreciates the nature of the farming business. I have been very pleased with the interest so far, with bookings coming in for all aspects of the business, and I am fortunate to have a pool of people to call on to help with supplying the customers needs, alternatively I can do all the work myself depending on demand."
